Mini Pretzels with Hummus

Ingredients for Pretzels:  1 – 3 servings

3 – 2oz. San Diego Pretzel Co. soft Bavarian pretzels

Pretzel salt

 

Method:  Preheat oven to 400 degrees.   Spray pretzels with a fine mist of water and sprinkle lightly with pretzel salt.  Bake for 3 minutes at 400 degrees, place on platter and serve with hummus.

 

Ingredients for Hummus: yield 1 ½ cups

1 can chickpeas (garbanzo beans) drained and rinsed

1 teaspoon minced garlic

¼ cup sour cream

3 tablespoons tahini sauce

1 1/2 tablespoons lemon juice

4 tablespoons olive oil

1 ½ teaspoons ground cumin

1 ½ teaspoons salt

¼ teaspoon cayenne pepper

2 tablespoons chopped parsley

 

Method:  Puree chickpeas in a food processor until mostly smooth.  Add remaining ingredients reserving some chopped parsley for garnish.
