Ham and Cheese on a Philadelphia Pretzel Roll

Served with Toasted Sesame Seeded Pickled Tomatoes


Ingredients for Ham and Cheese Sandwich:  1 sandwich

1 San Diego Pretzel Co. Philadelphia Pretzel

Pretzel Salt

Honey Mustard (see next recipe)

¼ lb. thinly sliced ham

2 slices Swiss or any other preferred cheese (recipe in photo used Irish cheese)

Method:  Slice pretzel  in half.  Spray water over the top of the pretzel and sprinkle lightly with pretzel salt.  Toast the pieces in a toaster oven or in a broiler.  Spread the inside of each half with honey mustard, place ham on the bottom of the pretzel, cheese on top, and cover with salted top of pretzel.

 

Ingredients for Honey Mustard :  1 ½ cups

¾ cup Dijon mustard

½ cup mayonnaise

¼ cup citrus honey

Method:  Place all three ingredients in a bowl and mix with a wire whisk until thoroughly blended.

Refrigerate remaining mustard.
