Soft Pretzel with Warm Chocolate Kahlua Sauce Ingredients: Yield 1 portion 1 – 5.5 oz. San Diego Pretzel Co. Traditional Soft Petzel Pretzel salt Fresh fruit such as a few strawberries, blueberries, rasperries, or sliced peaches. Sprig of fresh mint
Method: Place pretzel in a preheated 400 degree oven for 3 minutes. Place pretzel on a serving plate. Drizzle ¼ cup warm chocolate Kahlua sauce (see next recipe) over the pretzel. Sprinkle lightly with pretzel salt and garnish with fresh fruit and a sprig of mint. Ingredients for Chocolate Kahua Sauce: Yield 2 ¾ cup 1 cup half and half 1 lb. sweetened chocolate, cut or broken into small chunks ¼ cup Kahlua 1 teaspoon pure vanilla extract Method: Heat half and half in a saucepan over a medium flame until it begins to simmer. Remove saucepan from the heat and whisk in the chocolate until melted. Mix in Kahlua and vanilla. Keep warm until serving. |
